When he decides he wants to be the man
Rasheed Wallace can be the missing link
To any team that wants or deems it can
Compete for rings, or at least on the brink.
But often times he merely self implodes,
Or checks out early leaving his own team
Unsure the Big Man will accept his load
Or fire from deep, devising his own scheme.
His tantrums now seem more contrived for show
Instead of firing up, its just a wreck,
The Ivo trade told him he had to go
And now he hopes someone just cuts the check
But on those days when Sheed decides to play
What magnificent skill he can display.

Kevin Patra lives by the adage: Those who can’t do, teach, and those who can’t do or teach, write. Currently, he is a graduate student at the University of Southern California studying Online Journalism, after spending four years at the University of Michigan obtaining a bachelors degree from the school of Language, Science & Fun. Patra knows you don’t care but he wanted us to let you know that this one is actually in iambic pentameter. His most famous piece is an essay comparing Eminem to Geoffrey Chaucer.
