I look forward to Super Bowl Sunday like a five-year-old waiting for Christmas morning. Football is a classic American pastime that should be cherished and celebrated like nobody’s business, as the NFC and AFC champions collide for a monumental throw-down. Fanatics will paint their faces, hang their team flags and possibly even give a limb to see their team, live in Tampa Bay this Sunday. And yeah, so Arizona made it to their first Super Bowl ever, but wait…aren’t we missing the most important thing about Sunday’s game? What’s a great Super Bowl without a great party complete with tasty food and divine liquor? I’ll get to the food, but first let’s talk about the alcohol. I know beer is the football staple, and there will undoubtedly be six-packs in abundance, but maybe this year you’d like to try something a little stronger. Here is a super super super (I would write super ten more times if it wasn’t so horribly redundant and please ignore the pun) easy recipe for a manly man’s cocktail from my friend, Evelyn. It’s strong, it’s delicious and it gets the job done.
Evelyn’s Touchdown!

Two shots Hennessy
Two shots Pineapple juice
Mix together and serve!
If the ladies at your party are looking for something a little lighter, make them what I like to call the Orange Bowl. This one is strong, but deeeeeeelicious!
Orange Bowl

Two shots Grey Goose orange
Equal parts Champagne
If you would like to get some food in your stomach to help soak up all that alcohol, let’s introduce some carbs to the menu. A smoked chicken apple sausage pizza is hardy enough to feed even the meanest of appetites.
Jenn’s Fanny-Slapping Lombardi Trophy Pizza

1 Store bought pizza crust (already baked and ready to go) 1pkg. Trader Joes Chicken Apple Sausage (or your favorite sausage) 1½ cups shredded smoked mozzarella cheese 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese 2 large red bell peppers ½ yellow onion ¼ cup olive oil Salt and pepper to taste
Pre-heat oven to 350F Chop the bell peppers and onion into small ¼ inch cubes (doesn’t have to be perfect, just make them as small as you can). Sautee the peppers and onions with the olive oil in a pan until soft and onions are translucent, about 15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Take the peppers and onions and spread them on top of your pizza crust. Drizzle a little more olive oil on top of the peppers and onions. Top the pizza with the smoked mozzarella and smoked gouda cheeses. Chop sausage into bite-size pieces and put on top of the pizza. Place pizza on the middle rack of your oven and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes, or until all of the cheese is melted.

So maybe you won’t make it to Florida to see the winning team kiss the Vince Lombardi trophy in person this Sunday, but you can always have a crazy, tasty party watching the game at home!
