Liner Crushes Holliday’s Balls and The Spirit of St. Louis

Matt Holliday went from hero to goat in the matter of a 10-hour baseball game.  With chance to end the game and tie the series against the Dodgers, Holliday briefly lost a tailing line drive in the lights and then found it hit him squarely in the briefs. The ninth inning error to the nether regions allowed the Dodgers to steal a win and left Holliday with some sore cojones.  When asked after the game, what hurt more he replied, “My frickin’ balls!”  Detroit Tigers fans sympathized with the left fielder as the team from Detroit repeatedly kicked them in the balls for the past three weeks.  Holliday has another chance to play on Saturday, but Tigers fans saw their season end in that crap-hole Minneapolis Metrodome.
